Studien syftar till att undersöka det vetenskapliga kunskapsläget gällande risk- och orsaksfaktorer för barn i en europeisk kontext att hamna i kriminella nätverk. Studien har genomförts som en scoping review. Vetenskapliga artiklar har inhämtats som data genom sökningar i tre olika databaser. Totalt har ett urval på 10 artiklar använts i studien. Den insamlade datan har analyserats med hjälp av en tematisk analysmetod. Totalt identifierades fyra huvudteman; riskfaktorer på individnivå, risk- och orsaksfaktorer på familjenivå, risk- och orsaksfaktorer i det sociala sammanhanget, samt samhällets utsatta områden. I de fyra teman identifierades sammanlagt nio underteman som representerar de olika risk- och orsaksfaktorerna.  Studiens resultat visar att risk- och orsaksfaktorer kan identifieras på olika nivåer runt omkring barnet. En slutsats blir därför att det är centralt att utgå ifrån ett helhetsperspektiv vad gäller risk- och orsaksfaktorer runt ett barn, och inte endast se till faktorer på individnivå. Vidare har interaktioner mellan de olika risk- och orsaksfaktorerna kunnat identifieras. Ytterligare en slutsats blir därför att ett barn med en risk- eller orsaksfaktor även kan ha andra faktorer till följd av den första. 

The purpose of the study is to examine the state of scientific knowledge regarding the risk and causal factors for children in a European context becoming involved in criminal networks. The study was carried out as a scoping review. Scientific articles were collected as data through searches in three different databases. A total of 10 articles were used in the study. The collected data was analyzed using a thematic analysis method. Four main themes were identified: individual-level risk factors, family-level risk and causal factors, social context risk and causal factors, and societal vulnerable areas. Within these four themes, a total of nine subthemes were identified, representing the different risk and causal factors. The result shows that risk and causal factors can be identified at different levels around the child. One conclusion, therefore, is that it is crucial to adopt a holistic perspective on the risk and causal factors surrounding a child, and not only focus on individuallevel factors. Additionally, interactions between the different risk and causal factors were identified. Another conclusion is that a child with one risk or causal factor may also have other factors as a result of the first.
