Development of a visual brand language and a mobility aid2019Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Medical technology is a field of work with connection to prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment and care. The company Human care is a well-established company in Sweden with red rollators seen all over Sweden. The product family of Human care has four different units of mobility aid solutions. These are lifting devices, rollators, healthcare beds, and convertible chairs. In common they share the same brand, but they do not have any clear connection to each other when it comes to form, colour and texture.

In this thesis a visual brand language is developed and created for the company. At the same time, it is implemented and developed on a lifting solution for patient mobility in the healthcare. To find a brand language which should be easier to implement on the products investigations into the brand and products has been done. By trying to find a common ground in the current products the step from creation to implementation of a guideline will be smaller. Further, research has been done in colour psychology, ergonomics, surface textures and forms.

The result of this thesis is a guideline which the company can use as a base when developing new products. In this thesis, it has been implemented on a lifting device for patient transportation.

Security creating technology for elderly care2020Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

The aging population is growing and as more elderly need nursing the demand on elderly care is increasing. There is a risk of not having enough staff in an industry that already lacks educated staff. Many of the employees also complain that they are stressed out. This has led to an increasing number of gadgets and tools used within elderly care but not without problems. The technologies have been criticized for being designed to fit the need of the people in control rather than the elderly and the caregivers. This thesis has mapped the situation within todays elderly care and provided a solution to those needs and problems found. The focus has been to make a design that is fit for the elderly and the caregivers. The project has been made with a human centered design approach by letting elderly and caregivers participate in the process. A keystone has been to make the solution emit a sense of coherence for the elderly. The result is a radar unit which scans for blood pressure, respiration, pulse, and falls. The radar can be complimented with a camera to provide even more security. The achieved result can bring a sense of coherence for the elderly but needs to be further tested in order to prove it. This work can be used for future studies.

    Material & Surface design methodology-the user study framework2020Ingår i: Surface Topography-Metrology and Properties, ISSN 2051-672X, Vol. 8, nr 4, artikel-id 044001Artikel i tidskrift (Refereegranskat)
    Abstract [en]

A material and surface selection within the car industry is usually based on a comprehensive study based on sensation and perception, focusing on particular perceived qualities and impressions (emotional functions) through visual and tactile interaction of plastic surfaces. On top of that 'emotional function', the 'technical function' such as surface roughness or gloss for a certain matter in symbiosis, will result in a number of material and surface proposals. The range of materials fitting into the window of these requirements varies depending on the industry's ability to hit the target specified in regard to the 'emotional functions', usually defined by the designer's intention. Thus, to be able to get a deeper understanding of how to frame the 'emotional functions' and link them to the 'technical functions', two user studies were made in this paper. The user studies were made with two different designs however with the same main research target to be able to understand the varieties of these two. The aim of doing so was to be able to find the user study design that was the most time efficient and providing the most significant data linked to the 'technical functions' and process control/traceability. However also finding the user study design with the least strains for the participating users in regard to uninterrupted brain activity. By designing the user study in relevant subsets in a certain sequence, user study design nr 2 has proven to be more time efficient and provide more data regarding the soft metrology. Future work will focus on deeper knowledge about how these surfaces different material- and surface properties correlate to the participants responses regarding perceived quality of a car interior design. The development of a new non-contact measurement is also discussed, enabling the possibility to complement and improve the hard metrology set up.

The development of an acoustic insulation solution using mushroom mycelium as an alternative to synthetic foams2023Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (magisterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

In the past decades, humanity is facing the consequences of the irresponsible production of plastics and the expansion of industries such as industrial agriculture, Therefore, the development of new sustainable alternative materials has become increasingly popular as a science field. That is the case of mycelium composites, a biodegradable material made out of agricultural and the thread-like roots of mushrooms called mycelium. The mycelium, when growing, binds all the particles of organic matter together, creating a stiff material that takes the shape of the mold where it was cultivated. The material is lightweight, fire resistant, provides acoustic and thermal insulation and has good behavior under compression efforts.

So far, research has been conducted on testing the properties of the material, but there is a lack of knowledge on how to address this material from a design perspective. How to design with it, how to make it appealing to the users or how to value its intrinsic characteristics. For that, the design thinking methodology "Design thinking bootleg" was followed and theory and methods under the perspective of "Design for emotion" and the approach of "Material driven design" that facilitates design processes where the material is the main driver.

An acoustic insulation solution was developed as a result, since it was concluded to be the most competitive application among the different possibilities of mycelium composites. The product aims for a certain emotional response in the users, seeking the development of an emotional connection and creating awareness about the role mushrooms play in nature and the use of sustainable materials. Eventually, the product succeeded in transmitting more than mere curiosity, especially after explaining the story behind it. Overall, the product is still far from competing against plastics in terms of scalability and speed of production. However, research on this topic is increasing exponentially and the material proves to have a lot of potential, so it is expected to be improved in the next few years.

CONCEPT FOR A PORTABLE ASSISTIVE LIFTING SEAT2019Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

This project consists of the design of a concept for a portable assistive seat in collaboration with IKEA. The aim of the project is to create a solution that fits within the Omtänksam family of products and shares the company’s values of what is so-called Democratic Design:

Form - Quality - Low Price - Function – Sustainability

The Omtänksam Family is focused on products that can help the elderly to have a more comfortable life while blending with the home environment. A portable assistive Lifting Seat is a real need for many people that require some extra help when standing up or sitting down. The main goal of this project is to design a cheap, safe, simple and light product that can assist people for reducing the effort that is required from them. The product must be comfortable, easy to transport and friendly to interact with. Considering a mass manufacturing perspective is very important to meet the previously formulated requirements. The force that the assistive seat releases must keep performing efficiently during the product service life. A locking system must be provided for avoiding the lifting force to act when the user is sitting, assisting only when it is demanded. This Thesis describes the process of designing a concept for a Portable AssistiveLifting Seat involving different areas such as ergonomics, semantics, manufacturing, mechanical engineering and materials science. The design approach in this case is driven by the Democratic Design Principles combining the human-centered design with a market perspective. The result takes advantage of form and material for avoiding the need for any extra lifting mechanism. This solution is way simpler than any other one existing in the market and it integrates the solution for many different problems in one single piece. This simplification of the problem allows reducing the production cost and helps to meet the intended requirements creating an innovative product for the market.

    Design-driven innovation: a systematic literature review2019Ingår i: European Business Review, ISSN 0955-534X, E-ISSN 1758-7107, Vol. 31, nr 1, s. 92-114Artikel, forskningsöversikt (Refereegranskat)
    Abstract [en]

    Purpose

The concept design-driven innovation focuses on innovating product meanings. It has been studied from a variety of perspectives and contexts since the early 2000s. However, a complete overview of the literature published in this area is currently missing. The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how design-driven innovation contributes to value creation in product development.

    Design/methodology/approach

In this systematic literature review, 57 papers and book chapters that cover design-driven innovation were identified and analyzed. An iterative coding process was followed to derive five facets of design-driven innovation that contribute to value creation.

    Findings

Design-driven innovation creates value by focusing on the intangible values of products. The following five facets of design-driven innovation that contribute to value creation were identified: development of new product meanings, knowledge generation, actors and collaborations, capabilities and process. These facets and their interrelations are presented in a theoretical framework.

    Practical implications

The main practical implication of this study is that it is now clear that the five facets of design-driven innovation are interrelated and reinforce each other. Therefore, companies need to approach design-driven innovation from a holistic perspective.

    Originality/value

This paper contributes to theory by presenting the theoretical framework that provides an overview of available knowledge and that creates a context for future research.

Motion Graphics in Relation to Branding: An Exploratory Study2021Självständigt arbete på grundnivå (kandidatexamen), 180 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Nowadays, there are many trends and changes happening in the market industry, in order to cope with the rise of technologies. Brands are finding new, modern, and revolutionary ways in order to elevate their identities into new levels. Therefore, the adoption of motion graphics and videos yield remarkable improvements in marketing in general. The benefits of motion graphics and its impact on the field of design and marketing have attracted the attention of researchers and businesses around the world.

This thesis focuses on the benefits of motion graphics in branding, and how it can add more values, opportunities, and movement to digital brand identities in order to make brands live and breathe. First, the term “Motion Graphics” is introduced and defined, for it is a vague concept for some of the viewers. In addition, a small description of the history of branding and motion graphics is touched upon, in order to give the viewers, the idea of where both fields came from and how they evolved to the level they are now. Second, the thesis uses a qualitative method such as semi-structured interviews, together with data through the insights, experiences, and knowledge of professional designers working in the field. The interview method is chosen because it is best suited to provide a more complete understanding of the research problem than quantitative data for this specific topic.

Then this thesis continues to illustrate the importance of adding motion graphics in every digital brand. Where each brand can have its own unique style of animation that can differentiate their identity in the market. Therefore, some examples are presented as well as some successful digital brands that have their own animation and illustration style that make their identity stand out. Finally, the results show that motion graphics is indeed in demand and may become a norm to be added in every digital brand toolkit. In addition, motion graphics can add dynamism, can reflect the digital brand and its attributes in a better way, help brands convey their messages in a more effective way, and can increase the value and make it more suitable for social media.

    Abstract [en]

This report covers the subject and impact of utilizing artificial intelligence tools for image generation in the process for industrial design. By evaluating the tools available on the market at the time of writing the report establishes a toolbox of relevant tools to the design process. These tools are then used to restructure established design processes into a new process and set of guidelines that incorporate these tools as a central part of the design process. The report then covers the “test run” of this process by developing a concept product, which in this case is a camera for a specific brand. Finally, the report covers the implications and potential further developments needed in order to fully incorporate artificial intelligence in the design process, along with potential ethical implications of utilizing these tools to aid in the creation of commercial products.

    Abstract [en]

Researchers are discovering that the lighting sector is placing more of an emphasis on sustainable resources, cutting-edge technology, and ecological responsibility. The challenge facing today's craftsmen is producing functional items that complement urban growth and lifestyle choices.

The thesis project focuses on designing and developing a wall mounted luminaire product integrating modular design using biodegradable materials such as banana fiber, bamboo cane along with wood. Further, the project discovers the possibility of implementing ‘Do it yourself’ system in the product wherein user gets the unique experience of knitting bamboo cane to create patterns and build the whole luminaire product by themselves. Various mockups and test prototypes have been made to investigate pain points and to undertake various design decisions keeping primary focus on ‘Do it yourself’ kit.

The current project also collates business model by designing a single foldable packaging with the short story of the people and the place about the craft training organization. Packaging also comes with a nicely designed user instruction manual along with all the components have been included. Light source will have LED Opal strip with the corelated color temperature of 2700 K, warm chosen for the decorative purpose and to create ambient and cozy atmosphere in the living spaces.

The luminaire product overall conveys sustainable design that allows biodegradable materials to be recycled into a new product that encourages the circular economy or be discarded in a landfill after its intended lifespan has been fulfilled.

Material design for the future towards a sustainable premium car interior2022Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Many car brands goal is to use more sustainable materials in the car interior. While doing this brands wants to maintain or increase their perceived quality towards the costumer. There for it is important to find out how new materials are perceived by the costumer and how it might relate to sustainability. It has become increasingly important to the costumer that the products they buy are sustainable. There for it is relevant for the car industry to find out how it can make the interior appear more sustainable and if this will improve the quality of the interior.

Using 12 material samples that were evaluated by 23 participants of the study. Findings of what aspects of a material based on its: Gloss, Value, Saturation & Orderliness make it appear sustainable and premium.

Validating these results and further testing indicate how different materials can be optimized to increase their perception of quality and sustainability. It is also shown which material properties seem to have the biggest correlation with sustainability and quality.

The study shows that there is a strong correlation between how random a material texture appears and how sustainable or premium the material is perceived. Also, that less gloss and darker materials should be used to improve perception of quality.

It was discovered that a large part of the perception of materials comes from the association with that or similar materials.

CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT OFWATERLESS TOILET2021Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [sv]

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT OF CARGO MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR PRIVATE CARS2018Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [sv]

DESIGN OF SET DISPLAYS FOR BREAD AND BAKERY IN GROCERY STORES2022Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Master thesis carried out in collaboration with PS Retail, a retail design company from Jönköping, during the spring semester of 2022 as a part of the Industrial Design Master at Jönköping University.

This project describes the process of design, development and construction of a module focused on the bread and bakery department in grocery stores for EveryDay Sweden, a partner of PS Retail.

It consists of the development of a new versatile and contemporary assortment of displays that fit the interior of grocery stores, more specifically, for the bread and bakery department. Some of their approaches are to anticipate how supermarkets will evolve over time and design accordingly. In addition, they want the space to be comfortable for everyone, so some ergonomic factors are taken into account. Finally, their goal is to expand to other European markets, so both aesthetics and function must be considered.

The final result is a module for bread storage and some proposals on how to fit in different environments. It works similar to a drawer, except that when the customer pulls it, the glass is lifted and the bread is exposed. In addition, the proposals represent how this module would look in different shapes and environments, depending on the capacity of the store.

Design of a shelter and storage space for homeless people2024Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

This project aims to discover the needs of a homeless person and apply them to a design process to develop a portable and foldable shelter as well as a storage space for their belongings. To understand the needs semi-structured interviews were conducted, including two homeless people, two NGO workers, and one faculty member of the municipality of Athens. The data from the interviews showed that a homeless person needs to feel the freedom the rest of the people experience, to feel safe both for their physical integrity and the safety of their belongings while finally, they need to be well informed. Using the Bootleg Bootcamp method to apply the findings into the design process it was possible to design a user-friendly shelter and a storage space for homeless people. The results showed that such a product could be feasible as in its core it was designed to be manufacturable. This product could be part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of companies all around the world. These companies could collaborate and deliver such a product to municipalities all around the world.

IN-BETWEEN: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT STUDY THROUGH INDUSTRIAL AND EXPERIMENTAL APPROACHES2021Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [sv]

Shaking Hands with the Zeitgeist.: Influencing trends through strategic design.2021Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Research into cultural dynamics and trend mechanisms has been used to “deconstruct” theinfluence structure of fashion in a way that can be applied to a hypothetical design strategy. The design strategy revolves around designing products with the intension to indirectlycommunicate an idea or ideas and by taking advantage of a products emotional value, toincrease structural and cognitive embeddedness of underlying ideas. The application of the strategy is the design of a smart product called “Gelo”. Gelo is a ‘smartwall’ concept that uses soft robotic actuators to transform its surface to adapt to changinglight conditions, improve room acoustics, and produce dynamic visual displays.By using HASEL soft robot actuators for movement, emerging technology could be exploredthrough the medium a conceptual consumer product while also allowing interestingfunctionality to be implemented to the Gelo concept. The addition of this functionalityallowed for ‘display like’ properties which are used to explore the idea of smart home devicesas a way of provide an enhanced emotional experienced.

ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY: Innovative Design for an Ankle Foot Orthosis2021Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [sv]

Interior Design Of Hydro-Foiling Boat2023Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Boats have a rich history, evolving in shape and purpose. From ancient logboats to modern superyachts, their design depends on their intended use. Among personal watercraft, such as yachts and motorboats, there are various types like fishing boats and day cruisers. Runabout boats are popular today for leisure. They are fast, agile, and versatile, originating in the 1920s with wooden bodies. Modern Runabout boats carry 4-8 people, lack a cabin, and are favored by casual boaters.

One of the latest trends within boating is the usage of hydrofoils, a hydrofoil is a wing-like shape that lifts a boat out of the water, reducing drag on the boat. Flighter is a new company intending on creating a new concept for a hydro foiling boat that is meant for transportation. They want a boat that is agile and has some multifunctional aspects allowing it to be used by a wider user group.

The following project is a design project focused on the conceptual interior design of Flighters new boat where the goal is to create an interior that fits with Flighters agenda. The concept developed through the project uses a rail system to create modular seating that allows the user to modify the boat to the current needs. There is also a multifunctional sofa in the back allowing for extra storage and seating if needed.

Quality perception study in sustainable materials for Volvo Cars2021Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

The growing demand in the industry towards sustainability and the globalization of manufacturing lead to an industrial climate of constant development and improvements, and automotive interior design is not excluded.

In 2017 the European Union declared that the material used to generate the bright chrome surfaces of car interiors (CR VI) is toxic and carcinogenic.

This implies that Volvo will ban the use of Chrome VI for decorative parts from September 2024.

Finding a more eco-friendly alternative to replace CR VI not only functionally but also in terms of perceived quality and user experience will be an urgent and decisive action.

In this project, the parameters of gloss, haze, color temperature, and metallic depth are investigated in order to figure out which elements ensure the perceived quality of chrome surfaces.

For this purpose, a user study based on different sensory tests and soft metrology was carried out with 48 people, as well as seven samples, five of them more eco-friendly alternatives.

This project aims to introduce a set of tools to assess and guarantee the perception of quality by supporting the development of "chrome-look" surfaces in the automotive interior with new sustainable materials.

Through this study, correlating soft and hard metrology, it is observed what makes a surface perceived as "high-quality" and which of the more eco-friendly alternatives could be the most optimal to replace Chrome VI in Volvo's car interiors.

Development of Biophilic Design Concept for Educational Spaces2023Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [sv]

On communicating extruded aluminium surface quality along the supply chain: a customer approach to sustainable surfaces2023Ingår i: Surface Topography: Metrology and Properties, ISSN 2051-672X, Vol. 11, nr 1, artikel-id 014013Artikel i tidskrift (Refereegranskat)
    Abstract [en]

Today, far too many products are scrapped due to surface related issues, products with perfect function but with minor surface blemishes. The complaints are often offset by goodwill commitments from suppliers at great cost to them and delivery delays and lead time costs for customers. The reason is that the industry relies on several non-standardized classification systems for surface quality that are based on various combinations of and designations for surface defects, assessed by visual inspections at a defined distance to determine the severity of any detected surface deviations. These similar classification systems provide far too much scope for subjective and non-repeatable assessments causing communication problems between customer and producer at all stages in the supply chain. To challenge this situation, a common toolbox to communicate, describe and define surface quality should be developed, i.e. a standardisation of surface quality assessment including various effects and defects with a jointly established nomenclature and evaluation parameters. This work presents the first step of a research project bringing together 11 suppliers and OEMs along the supply chain, from the delivery of raw aluminium to finished alumina profiles included in consumer products. The final goal of the project is to develop an ‘objective classification of visual requirements’ on alumina profiles towards increased sustainability and decreased material wastage. Presented result is a common terminology with links to the process chain, surface defect geometry and visual appearance aiming at making the communication between producers and buyers of the aluminium profiles clearer and more unambiguous when it comes to specification and requirements of profile surfaces in each of the supply-chain links. Future work will add measurable parameters specifying surface quality.

Towards an Objective Classification of Extruded Aluminum Surfaces-A Literature Review and Case Study2022Ingår i: SPS2022: Proceedings of the 10th Swedish production symposium / [ed] A. H. C. Ng, A. Syberfelt, D. Högberg & M. Holm, Amsterdam: IOS Press, 2022, s. 51-62Konferensbidrag (Refereegranskat)
    Abstract [en]

Large costs and lead-time losses are created by returned aluminum products - to a great extent unnecessarily. Much of the metal product complaints are due to visual surface defects. Today, the aluminum industry relies on several non-standardized classification systems for surface quality assessments which provides far too much scope for subjective and non-repeatable surface estimations. To challenge this situation, a common toolbox to describe and define surface quality in a more objective way needs to be developed. A first step towards such standardization is to speak the same language, thus this study is based on a state-of-the-art survey covering terminology and descriptions of surface defects in literature, and a round-robin assessment collecting terms used by employees at seven companies within the aluminum industry. The literature study showed that most attempts to catalog and categorized various types of defects on commercial aluminum extrusions are based on the origin of defects and how to prevent and/or reduce them, thus the vocabulary is production-oriented and most terms are not useful from the customers' nor the designers' point of view when coming to describe desired surface effect, i.e. perceived surface quality. The round-robin assessment confirmed the large variation of terminology used, and that defects were judged differently also within the same company due to experience and field of work. A common vocabulary is suggested to be based on the relationships between used expressions; from general terms at stages linked to consumers, designers and sale, tracing towards more technical terms the closer the stage where the origin of the defect can be found. This structure, in combination with e.g. manufacturing cost, is expected to guide customers towards more sustainable surface quality choices that, together with more consistent surface assessments along the production chain, is expected to strongly reduce unnecessary scrapping.

Tool unit designed for equine dentistry2019Självständigt arbete på avancerad nivå (masterexamen), 20 poäng / 30 hpStudentuppsats (Examensarbete)
    Abstract [en]

Most people have experienced toothache and know how much it effects the health. It hurts to eat, it ́s hard to sleep and sometimes a small gesture as a smile is avoided because it pains to much. Of course animals have the same issue and feel pain but they can’t tell us how they feel, instead we have to look for signs from their behavior. The recommendation to regularly check the horse’s teeth does minimize the risk of pain. The knowledge within the field of equine dentistry is on the rise and educations and regulations is developing to give the best dental care possible. This has created a need of the right tools adopted to this specific field and this is where a company like Accesia has a chance to be at the forefront of this development. Accesia is a company that have developed tools and educations about the animal dental profession since 2009. Until now the focus has been on smaller animals like cats, dogs and rodents but now they are widening their customer field and develops for this new market, equine dentistry. To get a understanding of this new customers some field studies has been performed and needs that are separate from the previous customer needs has been identified. It ́s not only the size that differs from the dentist working with cats and dogs, it ́s also the working environment and the anatomic conditions that looks completely different.

For this thesis the main goal has been to identify how a unit for the tools used by equine dentists should be structured and what parts that should be included to endure the transportation and environment where it will be used. To gain this information, several interviews were conducted with the main users and the experts working on Accesia. The gathered information where later analyzed, concretized and explored in a product concept.

This report will go through the different stages in the design process that led to a final design concept which were presented with a prototype and posters at a thesis fair organized by Jönköping University.

    Abstract [en]

Office space is changing quickly into a more dynamic environment in which work is no longer bound to place or time. Helped by high-speed networks people are shifting their workplace according to the situation and schedule. In order to keep the pace with this fast-changing scenario more and more objects and furniture pieces had become highly customizable with focus on work efficiency and health. Among these products we can find the electric height adjusting desks or benches that can change your working style from sitting to standing with a push of a button.

ROL Group AB was started in 1985 and it is still today a family-owned company that has developed and supplied solutions and products that has been used in thousands of offices and retail stores around the world. Part of the group, ROL ERGO represents a lead supplier in custom made electric sit stand desks.

The EPI Electric Bench 4 columns 2 stage and EPI Electric Bench 4 columns 3 stage are some of the products in the ROL ERGO line up for which the company would like to undertake a redesign process, in order to create a „ROL recognizable product”.

At the moment the desks don't offer support for connecting to other desks and they are not fitted with any accessories or cable management system. This project aims to present an overall solution to the everchanging office environment, for a more efficient and healthier workplace that can be fitted in the ROL ERGO lineup and serve as models for the next collections.
