Abstract [sv]

Med syfte att undersöka universitetslärares erfarenheter och uppfattningar om stöd till studen-ter med funktionsnedsättning i högre utbildning samt tillgänglighets- och likabehandlingsar-bete har lärare intervjuats och deltagit i en associationsstudie. Studien är genomförd inom fyra professionsutbildningar på ett universitet. Genom en livsvärldsfenomenologisk ansats har ana-lysen visat att lärarna efterfrågar stöd i sitt vardagsarbete med denna studentgrupp och behöver ökad kompetens avseende funktionsnedsättningar. Lärarnas uppfattningar speglar att det kan finnas dilemman och ambivalens när det gäller studenternas möjligheter att nå målen för ut-bildningen och för vad professionen kräver.

Abstract [en]

This study investigates university teachers' experiences and perceptions of support for students with disabilities in higher education and work regarding accessibility and equality. The teach-ers were interviewed and participated in an association study. The study was conducted in four professional programs at a university. Through a life-world phenomenological approach, the analysis shows that teachers ask for support in their everyday work with these students and they need more information and better understanding of the different disabilities. There are dilemmas when it comes to students' ability to achieve the goals of education and what the pro-fession requires.
