Abstract [en]

This thesis has been done in collaboration with Sundström Safety AB and the task was to redesign a Sundström SR 590 welding shield and give it an identity that is more true to the company valuesSundström has an ongoing development of their products to ensure that the vision of being a leading supplier of high quality breathing protection system is up to date. The current SR 590 is a ready for production design that was bought from a Finish company. Therefore the shield had little connection with Sundström and their other products. The goal with this project was to implement the core values into a new design and give it an identity that connects it to Sundström Safety AB.Through analysis of the company and their products, a base for the new SR 590 founded. Through sketches, modeling and analysis the new shield was developed. The result is a new SR 590 that in a better way reflected the company visions and values.
