Abstract [en]

This study focuses on six female francophone writers, referred to in Sweden as from African Sub-Saharan countries. In order to better understand the processes of categorization, the aim is to observe how their literature is received on the Swedish literary market and interpreted by the journalistic criticism. It turns out that journalists are seduced by world literature, where migration and cultural hybridity is at the center. In this context, postcolonial representations of local and global geography, culture and language are promoted, to the detriment of traditionally French and national literature
