Abstract [en]
This report is about visual analysis and direct marketing. I´ ve done an examination from theory compared to ads. My goal with this essay was to find out if the direct marketing ads, front-pages, is building their ads on the basis on theory. For this examination I selected theory and created 20 questions for the 20 ads I’ve chosen. My mainly question at issue was to find out if these 20 questions were using theory. And the following question was which ads were using the theory, when building the pictures.
20 ads were chosen and placed in on of the 10 categories. The categories contain everything from clothes, food and furnishing. My results from the analysis showed that 12 ads from 20 were building the ads from my described theory. Some ads were really close to cross over the border. The ads had to have 50 % concordant with the questions. The results told me a lot more than that almost half of the ads were corresponding to the theory.
The result also showed that many ads got the attention but didn’t cross over the line. And some ads showed the opposite. But the result even showed that some ads didn’t show any attention but crossed over the boarder and the opposite.
Many theory’s were used, some more, some less. So to summer up, to make a perfect ad you should use, colors, light, shadows and put the right pictures and things on the right spot in the front-page. The pictures on the page should orientate the costumer when she looks at the ad.
