Syftet med rapporten är att förse en dagligvarugrossist med en bra grund till kravspecifikation för att användas vid införande av ett automatiserat fördelningsflöde. Kravspecifikationen är inte helomfattande, men ska kunna brukas som grund till resonerande tankar runt om huruvida man ska automatisera eller inte. Frågeställningen som behandlas är:

• Att skapa ett underlag för en kravspecifikation åt ett grossistföretag. Underlaget ska vara lämpligt att använda vid en offertförfrågan för automatisering av deras nuvarande manuella fördelningssystem. Underlaget ska baseras på en nulägesanalys, men ta hänsyn till de nya förhållanden som kommer med en framtida tillväxt.

Studien har utförts vid ett grossistföretags färskvarulager i mellersta Sverige, varifrån dagligvaror till totalt 92 stycken butiker distribueras. Lagrets manuella köttfördelning fördelar centralpaketerat kött (CPK) till de olika butikerna. Ibland inträffar det att fel kvantitet levereras till butik . På grund av vissa omständigheter förväntar sig företaget en 300 procents ökning av CPK genom fördelningsflödet till våren 2009. Grossistföretaget önskar därför en förstudie inför en eventuell kommande automation av fördelningsflödet. Resultatet av examensarbetet behandlar bland annat kostnaderna för dagens manuella system (inklusive en ökning med 300 procent), en egenskapad grund till  kravspecifikation för ett automatiserat fördelningsflöde och hur arbetarna ergonomisk påverkas genom det manuella systemet som idag används.

Slutsatserna som dras i rapporten är att grossistföretaget bör automatisera även om det till en början kan innebära stora ekonomiska uppoffringar för att bli effektivare och likvärdig med konkurrenternas logistikpartners. Dessutom är automation rent generellt en del av framtiden. Förr eller senare måste man utvecklas.

This report aims to provide a wholesaler a basis for a requirement report, for use at the introduction of an automated distribution flow. These specifications are not comprehensive, but should be used as a basis for reasoning thoughts about whether to automate the allotment or not. The issue that will be considered is:

• To create a foundation for a set of requirements to a wholesale company, which is appropriate to use at an inquiry to automate their existing manual distribution. The report shall be based on an analysis of the current situation, but also take the new circumstances that comes with the growth into account.

This report is a study of a wholesale company, at their fresh food warehouse in the middle of Sweden. They distribute groceries to a total of 92 stores. The warehouse manually divides the delivered meat (also known as CPK), which later are distributed to the stores. At this point a problem comes up, which is that sometimes wrong quantity is delivered to the stores. And because of certain circumstances in the distribution flow, in this case an estimated increase of 300 procent during the spring 2009 of CPK.

Therefore wishes the wholesale company a feasibility study before an possible automation of the distribution flow. The result of this report deals with the costs of the current system (with the increase of 300 procent), a requirement report for an automated distribution and how the workers are affected by the manual system used today.

The conclusions drawn in this work is that wholesale company should probably automate even if it in the beginning might entail heavy sacrifices. This just to catch up with the competitors and compete with the same conditions. Automation is in general seen as a part of the future. Sooner or later, it probably will be necessary to automate.
