Bakgrund

Vårdadministratörers yrkesroll sträcker sig långt tillbaka i historien. Yrket har gått från skrivbiträde till dagens medicinska vårdadministratör. I takt med teknikens utveckling och digitalisering har arbetsuppgifterna inom yrkesrollen utvecklats och expanderats. Detta kräver en högre administrativ kompetens av dagens vårdadministratörer.

Syfte             

Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur klinikerna inom Region Jönköpings län använder sig av vårdadministratörernas kompetens.

Metod 

Vi har valt att använda oss av både en kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. Vi har gjort en webbenkät med både öppna och slutna frågor. Urvalet begränsades till de vårdadministratörer som arbetar på klinikerna inom Region Jönköpings län. Webbenkäten skapades i esMaker och sammanställdes i både text, tabeller och diagram.

Slutsats 

Studien gav en tydlig bild av att vårdadministratör som yrkesroll har en bred variation av arbetsuppgifter. Vi fick in över 40 olika arbetsuppgifter, varav många respondenter har flera olika arbetsuppgifter, vilket kräver en bred kompetens. En tydlig majoritet av respondenterna upplever att de får använda sin kompetens på deras arbetsplats. De anser också att deras arbetsgivare tar hänsyn till deras kompetens vid tilldelning av arbetsuppgifter.

Abstract

BackgroundThe professional role of a healthcare administrator stretches far back in history. The profession has gone from doctors writing assistant to today's medical care administrator. In line with the development and digitalization of technology, the tasks within the professional role have developed and expanded. This requires a higher level of administrative competence from today's healthcare administrators.

Purpose                   

The purpose of our study is to investigate how the clinics within Region Jönköping County use the competence of the healthcare administrators.

Method               

We have chosen to use both a quantitative and qualitative method. We have made an online survey with both open and closed questions. The selection was limited to the healthcare administrators who work at the clinics within Region Jönköping County. The online survey was created in esMaker and compiled in both text, tables and diagrams.

Conclusion         

The study gave a clear picture of the fact that the healthcare administrator as a professional role has a wide variety of job assignments. We received over 40 different assignments, many of the respondents have several different tasks, which requires a wide competence. A clear majority of the respondents feel that they are allowed to use their skills in their workplace. They also feel that their employer takes their skills into account when they allot assignments.
