Abstract [en]
The conflict in Yemen, which has been dragging on for over a decade, between the government and the Houthi movement, has affected the population deeply. It is estimated that over 20 million people require some humanitarian assistance, and as many as 16 million people need urgent food assistance. This conflict has affected men, women, boys, and girls differently due to their societal position. However, it is considered that women, children, and marginalized groups are the most affected and vulnerable. Even though women are deeply affected by the conflict, they are still underrepresented in the peace process and decision-making at the local and international levels.
This study seeks to understand women's role in the peace process and what challenges hinder it.
