The development of this project was in collaboration with the Italian company of Saro, who shared the main problems and objectives in the design of current sofas, as well as providing support with feedback and accompaniment in the design process of the project.The goal of the project was to design a sofa that can be used freely, through different elements such as its structure, color, fabric and other factors. With this goal in mind a work plan was developed that favored the outcome of the project, starting by analyzing existing products from other companies, this would allow it to collect the essential elements in a sofa as to see those with which it could innovate.After having carried out this analysis, several fundamental questions arose to start developing the design of the project. These are the questions that emerged at the start of the research: How can it be made to fit into the majority of households? What elements impact the sofas ergonomics? What features do customers search for in a sofa?To answer these questions, the Bootcamp Bootleg method was used for the design and development of a new type of modular sofa. Field research was carried out dedicated to user understanding, furniture design, search of similar products, definition of the concept, brainstorming, sketches, 3D modeling in tools such as Blender and Fusion, evaluations, iterations and concluding with the final prototype.The result of the project was a modular sofa for modern homes, which facilitates the cleaning of the sofa by being able to remove the cover to be washed when necessary, as well as giving the option to choose the color of the cover according to the preferences of the user. The design of the sofa is simple, minimalist, clean, attractive and suitable for any type of home. The product is constructed by different pieces that can be arranged as the customer prefers, it includes: two types of seat of different sizes: cubed or rectangular. Two types of backrest: L-shaped and normal backrest. One armrest, and a small table.Finally, this project shows the process of ideation, development and design construction of a modular sofa for modern homes. It allows users to feel the freedom to arrange their living rooms the way they like, with the help of its versatility, modularity and comfort, which takes into account factors such as ergonomics.

Projektet utvecklades i samarbete3 med det italienska företaget Saro, som delade med sig av de viktigaste problemen och målen för utformningen av de nuvarande sofforna, samt gav stöd med feedback och hjälp under projektets utformningsprocess.Målet med projektet var att utforma en soffa som kan användas fritt, genom olika element som dess struktur, färg, tyg och andra faktorer. Fältstudier genomfördes i butiker som ägnades åt användarförståelse, möbeldesign, sökning efter liknande produkter, definition av konceptet, brainstorming, skisser, 3D-modellering i verktyg som Blender och Fusion, utvärderingar, iterationer och slutligen den slutliga prototypen.Resultatet av projektet var en modulsoffa för moderna hem, som underlättar rengöringen av soffan genom att man kan ta av överdraget för att tvätta det vid behov, samt ger möjlighet att välja färg på överdraget enligt användarens preferenser. Soffans design är enkel, minimalistisk, ren, attraktiv och passar alla typer av hem. Produkten är konstruerad av olika delar som kan arrangeras som kunden föredrar, det inkluderar: två typer av sits i olika storlekar: kubisk eller rektangulär. Två typer av ryggstöd: Två olika typer av ryggstöd: L-format och normalt ryggstöd. Ett armstöd och ett litet bord.Slutligen visar det här projektet processen för idé, utveckling och designkonstruktion av en modulsoffa för moderna hem. Den låter användarna känna friheten att ordna sina vardagsrum som de vill, med hjälp av dess mångsidighet, modularitet och komfort, som tar hänsyn till faktorer som ergonomi.
