Abstract [en]

When introducing new management systems and regulatory requirements, companies often have to change and adapt their operational and organisational structure, which usually leads to considerable work and costs. As there exist a plethora of different management systems and regulatory requirements, organisations need a systematic approach to avoid isolated implementations at operational level. In this context, we use a design science research approach to design a framework that identifies intersections between management systems and supports their implementation. Results of a literature analysis reveal similarities between management systems and enterprise architecture management concepts that influence the framework’s design. Our main contributions are (i) a literature review that identifies similarities of management systems, (ii) a framework that systematically identifies synergies among various management systems and provides means how to put them into practice, and (iii) the framework’s application in a use case in the domain of regulative compliance in banking.
